Brazil Internship
I traveled to Brazil as part of a Santa Fe College internship during July of 2018. At the Institute of Biotechnology in Botucatu, I was introduced to research topics currently being investigated by graduate students. I was able to gain hands on experience with projects involving tumor cell migration and DNA sequencing.

During my internship in Brazil, I had to opportunity to do some sightseeing. I was able to visit Foz do Iguacu from both the Brazilian side and the Argentine side. As one of the natural wonders of the world, seeing Foz do Iguacu was an incredible, once in a lifetime experience. Itaipu, the second largest hydroelectric dam in the world, was also incredible. It is a marvel of engineering and an example of the benefits of cooperation between neighboring countries.
