My classes at Santa Fe College have introduced me to many methodologies that will assist me in my goal of becoming a medical technologist. These technical skills include:

• DNA extraction

• PCR, qPCR, and reverse transcription

• Western blot and Southern blot

• Protein extraction

• DNA sequencing

• Recombinant protein production

• Bacterial culture and identification

• Urinalysis

• Phlebotomy

 

 

Prior work experience has taught me the importance of working as a team in order to complete required tasks. I have also learned the importance of being flexible, as life rarely goes as planned. I have a strong work ethic and am very detail oriented.
